Learn from seasoned professionals how to handle tricky reader interactions, effectively utilize the NoveList database, and measure the impact of your services. By the end, you'll confidently engage readers, provide inclusive recommendations, and position your library as the go-to source for trusted book suggestions. Special note: This course assumes that you have access to the NoveList Plus database. This course will take the average learner about 4 hours total to complete. *️⃣ Learning Objectives: - Master common reader interactions with expert tips. - Engage readers inside and outside the library. - Use tools to provide inclusive, engaging recommendations. - Measure and advocate for your advisory services. *️⃣ Course instructor: Halle Carlson is a former manager of the Editorial Content Team of NoveList which oversees the creation of the lists, articles, NextReads newsletter, and read-alike recommendations. Prior to that, Halle spent a dozen years working for a public library system.
